Your First Discovery Flight: What to Expect

A discovery flight is a structured introductory flight lesson offered by FAA-certificated flight schools and independent flight instructors across the United States. It is designed to give prospective pilots genuine hands-on experience in the cockpit before committing to a full training program. Most last between 30 and 60 minutes of actual flight time.
